Strengthening Partnership Through Dialogue
Today, the Seychelles Defence Forces had the honour of hosting the Honourable Members of the National Assembly’s Defence and Security Committee for an interactive engagement at the Integrated Headquarters at Bel Eau.
The session provided a valuable opportunity for Committee members to gain deeper insight into the mandate, roles, responsibilities, capabilities and current challenges of the Seychelles Defence Forces. It also enabled an open exchange of views on the evolving security environment and the resources required for the Defence Forces to effectively fulfil its constitutional responsibilities.
The engagement brought together the Seychelles Defence Forces Command, Unit Commanders and Heads of Departments, fostering constructive dialogue and strengthening mutual understanding between the Defence Forces and the National Assembly.
Such engagements are essential in building strong working relationships, promoting transparency and enhancing cooperation between the two institutions. Through continued dialogue and collaboration, both parties are better positioned to support informed decision-making and contribute to the security, stability, and prosperity of the Republic of Seychelles.
