Major General Michael Rosette, Chief of Defence Forces of the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF), chaired the Plenary Session of the Contact Group on Illicit Maritime Activities (CGIMA), held in Mauritius in July 2026.
As Chair of the CGIMA, Seychelles reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, enhancing transparency, promoting capacity building and fostering greater coordination among maritime security partners to address illicit maritime activities across the region.
