SDF AND FAZSOI SIGN TWINNING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THEIR TWO UNITS
On the occasion of the French National Day and the visit of the SDF delegation to Reunion Island, the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) and Forces Armées du Zone Sud de l’Océan Indien (FAZSOI) recently signed a twinning agreement between the 2 forces. The first of its kind, this agreement solidifies the long-standing partnership between the “Deuxieme Regiment de Parachutistes d’Infanterie de Marine” (2eRPIMa) and the Special Operations “Tazar” Unit of the SDF and marks a new chapter of cooperation between the two forces.
The agreement was signed by General de Monicault and General Rosette representing FAZSOI and SDF, as well as the two unit commanders, Colonel Varry and Lieutenant Colonel Mondon for 2eRPIMa and TAZAR respectively.
The 2 units have a partnership dating back over 15 years and have had numerous exchanges over the years especially for joint training and joint interoperability.
This agreement expects to further these exchanges and develop a stronger bond between the personnel of the 2 units.
