Promotion and Commissioning of SDF Officers
A ceremony was held at the State House this morning during which two officers of the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) were promoted to their new ranks by the President of the Republic, Dr Patrick Herminie, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the SDF.
The two officers promoted from the rank of Major to Lieutenant Colonel were Hans Radegonde and Ivel Ernesta. Lieutenant Colonel Radegonde had been promoted in December last year while attending an overseas course and officially received his new rank upon his return to Seychelles.
During the ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief also commissioned four new officers; Martina Ceccato-Mederick and Stephanie De L’ Etourdie-Souris were commissioned to the rank of Lieutenant, while Shamira Simeon and Richard Francourt was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant.
The Seychelles Defence Forces extends its sincere congratulations to all the officers and wish them every success as they undertake their new responsibilities in service to the Republic of Seychelles.
