Chief of Staff Engages SDF Junior Officers🇸🇨🪖

The Chief of Staff Colonel Michael Hollanda, convened an interactive session with all SDF Junior Officers on Wednesday 04 March 2026. The engagement was held at the Military Training Service Centre (MTSC) Auditorium and formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership alignment and operational effectiveness across the Force.

The session aimed to clearly communicate the SDF command vision, priorities and strategic direction for the Defence Force. It also sought to reinforce the leadership expectations placed upon junior officers in their critical roles as commanders, disciplinarians and role models within their respective units.

A key focus of the engagement was ensuring alignment between current operational and training priorities and the broader strategic objectives of the Force. The Chief of Staff candidly addressed institutional challenges, providing clarity on expectations, responsibilities and performance standards required at all levels of command.

The interactive nature of the forum allowed junior officers to raise concerns, seek clarification and contribute perspectives on matters affecting their commands. The engagement underscored the importance of unity of purpose, disciplined leadership and professional excellence in advancing the mission and readiness of the Seychelles Defence Force.
