33 New Recruits Graduate and Join the Seychelles Defence Forces
Thirty-three new recruits have officially joined the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) after completing 16 weeks of Basic Military Training at the Military Training Support Centre (MTSC), Ile Perseverance.
The graduation ceremony was held this morning at the Military Training and Support Centre Ile Perseverance, in the presence of the Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency President Dr. Patrick Herminie, Commissioner of Police Mr. Godfra Hermitte, Chief of Defence Forces Major General Michael Rosette, Chief of Staff Colonel Michael Hollanda, SDF Unit Commanders and Senior Officers and families of the recruits.
Private Gael Renaud was awarded Best Overall Performance, while Private Lisa Dubois and Private Kurt Allissop received the awards for Best Academic and Best Practical Performance respectively. Private Serah Etheve delivered the recruits’ testimonial on behalf of the intake.
In his remarks, the Chief of Defence Forces congratulated the new recruits and underscored the importance of discipline, integrity and upholding the values of the Seychelles Defence Forces.
