Yesterday afternoon, Dr Patrick Herminie, in his capacity as Commander in Chief of the Seychelles Defence Forces, conducted a familiarisation visit at the Special Operations Unit at Barbarons. He was accompanied by the CDF, deputy CDF and Chief of Staff.
The visit started off with a brief of the unit’s mission, capabilities and challenges, which was done by the Commander of the Special Operations Unit, Lt Col Archil Mondon. Following the brief, the C-in-C and his delegation had the opportunity to tour the unit where he was briefed on available facilities as well as proposals for future development and moderation of the elite branch of the SDF.
