On Monday 30th September 2024, we bid farewell to Mrs. Colette Jean, one of our dedicated civilian staff who has dedicated 33 years of her life in service to the Seychelles Defence Forces.

She joined SDF back then known as SPDF, on the 17th June 1991 as an Assistant Administrative officer, promoted in 1999 as an Administrative Officer and in 2007 as Senior Administrative Officer.

Throughout her career in the force, she has grown personally and professionally.

Her last appointment was on the 01st of August 2010 whereby she was promoted as the Personal Assistant to the Chief of Defence Forces, a position she held until her last day in office.

For the past 14years, Mrs Jean has work alongside three Chiefs of Defence Forces, Brigadier Leopold Payet (2007-2018) Colonel Clifford Roseline(2019 – 2020) and Brigadier Micheal Rosette, the current CDF

Over the years, Mrs Jean demonstrated exceptional commitment and professionalism in her career and it is essential that we recognise her invaluable contributions.

In a special ceremony held at the Defence ForcesHeadquaters, Brigadier Rosette thanked Mrs. Jean for her years of hard work and dedication. As tokens of appreciations she recieved a shield, a gift and a basket of flowers. Warrant Officer Class II Zelia C also presented her with two pieces of sculpted pots that he made.
