Commander In Chief President Wavel Ramkalawan and members of the Defence Forces Council visited the Advanced Light Helicopter-ALH today at the Seychelles Air Force base. This multi-mission multi-role helicopter can be used in a variety of military and civilian applications. The helicopter is one of the many assets on board the Indian Naval Ship Sunayna, which is currently in port to take part in the Independence Day activities. The Indian Navy took the opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of the ALH.

After a tour of the aircraft , several guests present had the opportunity to go on a short flight on the ALH.

Apart from today’s demonstration, the ALH will also form part of the fly past during tomorrow’s military parade.
