LIEUTENANT COLONEL ARRISOL TAKES FULL COMMAND OF SEYCHELLES COAST GUARD

President Wavel Ramkalawan, in his power as the Commander In Chief of the armed forces, had the honour to appoint Lieutenant Colonel David Arrisol as the Commander of the Seychelles Coast Guard. Present to witness the handlingletter of appointment at State House this morning was the Vice President, Mr Ahmed Afif, and members of the Defence Forces Council.

Lieutenant Colonel Arrisol started his military career 1996and  in 2002 he was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant. In his career, he has served in several posts within the Seychelles Coast Guard. He was appointed as the Acting Commander of SCG in October 2022.

The newly appointed commander said that the plans and structure of SCG will remain the same, but he reaffirmed that SCG’s commitment in the fight against narcotics and other illegal activities at sea will continue to remain a top priority.

He also took the opportunity to encourage disciplined and devoted young Seychellois with maritime intrest to join the Seychelles Coast Guard for an exciting career.
