SPECIAL MASS TO MARK DEFENCE FORCES DAY

A special mass was held at St Antoine De Padoue church Anse Etoile in commemoration of the Defence Forces Day SDF celebrated on November 25. The moving mass were animated by the church choir and the National Brass Band.

The special service attracted a large congregation, amongst whom were the Commander In Chief President Wavel Ramkalawan and First Lady, Chief of Defence Forces Brigadier Michael Rosette, Chief of Staff Col Jean Attala, Commissioner of Police Mr. Ted Barbe, Senior officers and a number of military service personnel with their families.

In his sermon, Monseigneur Alain Harel expressed his gratitude towards the noble work of the force. He continued by encouraging the public to support and respect the task of the armed force.

As the Chairperson on the Defence Forces Day committee Lt Col Archil Mondon thanked all parties involved to make this year’s activities a success.
