Commander of CTF 150 Commodore Darren M Garnier of the Canadian Navy and his team paid a
courtesy call on the CDF. During his visit in Seychelles Commodore Garnier met with the Chief of
Defence Forces, Colonel Clifford Roseline and the Commanding Officer Seychelles Air Force Lieutenant
Colonel Michael Poupouneau at the Defence Forces Headquarters (DFHQ), Bel Eau on Friday March 29,
2019.

The Commodore had the opportunity to conduct courtesy call on the Commander Seychelles Coast
Guard, Colonel Simon Dine. During his visit at the Coast Guard, he was briefed on Coast Guard
operations and had the opportunity to visit the Maritime Operations Centre and other facilities, and
interact with SCG officers. The same day Commodore Ganier and his entourage also visited the
Seychelles Air Force facility at Pte Larue. It is to be noted that despite its size, SPDF through SAF
contribute regularly in operations in support CTF 150 efforts in their area of operation.
