The SDF Command, comprising of Chief of Defence Forces Major General Michael Rosette, Deputy Chief of Defence Forces Brigadier Jean Attala and Chief of Staff Colonel Micheal Hollanda, conducted their annual visit in the different units of the Seychelles Defence Forces over the past two days.
The highlight of the visit was the CDF’s address, where he shared an overview of SDF activities and specific objectives for the year ahead.
He also congratulated all personnel for their devotion to duty throughout 2024 and wished to see the same for the year 2025.
While acknowledging some shortfalls, he stated that SDF commits itself to strengthen and improve the capabilities of all units in order to achieve overall success for the force.
The CoS in turn encouraged all personnel and civilian staff to remain disciplined and loyal towards their profession while focused on putting their effort into achieving SDF objectives, as failure reflects on the entire force and not just on a specific unit. He stressed on his commitment to conduct frequent visits within units to intereact with personnels which will able to better understand the strengths of the different units and the issues that hinder their development and operational capabilities.
The visit was also an opportunity to see the status of various projects that had been implemented from the previous year; most of them were in their final stages and nearing completion.
