An inter-denominational service to honor men and women who serve in the military was organised today at the Defence Forces Headquaters to kickstart activities for the upcoming Defence Forces Week.

There were reflections and prayers by representatives from different religious grouaccompanied by performances by the Seychelles National Choir.

Present for the service were the Chief of Defence Forces Brigadier Michael Rosette, Members of the Defence Forces Council, Commissioner of Police, Representative of the Defence and Security Committee in the National Assembly,  Officers, other ranks and their families and friends.

The service was based on the theme “Unity in love, serving with honour“, and this was expanded upon by everyone who preached to the congregation.
