COMMANDER IN CHIEF COMMISSIONS THREE NEW OFFICERS IN SEYCHELLES DEFENCE FORCES
The Commander-in-Chief of the Seychelles Defence Forces,President Wavel Ramkalawan, had the honor of commissioning three newofficers in SDF during a brief ceremony held at State House this morning.
The commissioning was done in the presence of the vice president Mr Ahmed Afif and members of the Defence Forces Council.
The three officer cadets commissioned to rank of Second Lieutenant were Derick Dodin, a pilot and Anil Burron, anaircraft technician from Seychelles Air Force and Fady Faure a marine mechanic from the Seychelles Coast Guard. Their commissioning follows their successful completion of the officer cadet course from two different institutions namely Indian Naval Academy and the Indian Military Academy.
As the Commander In Chief, President Wavel Ramkalwan urged the newly commissioned officers to work hard for their country and be professional in what they undertake.
In the same ceremony Lt Iven Moise from the Special Force Unit was promoted to the rank Captain. His promotion took effect since early this year, but he had not yet been conferred his new ranks as he was on overseas training.
