Second group of recruits graduate and join the SDF
Eleven new recruits have joined the Seychelles Defence Forces after completing their basic training at the Military Training Support Centre in Barbarons.
The ceremony was held this afternoon at the Military Training Support Centre, Ile Perseverance, in the presence of Chief of Defence Forces Brigadier Michael Rosette, senior SDF officers, and family members of the new recruits.
Among the 11 recruits Private Dovano Labiche clinched the award for Best Overall Performance, while Best Academic performer went to Private Joshua Fanchette and Best Practical performer went to Private Rico Raoudy.
The CDF urged the new privates to maintain their highest level of discipline and devotion in their assigned duties. He further stated that the SDF provides a lot of opportunities for self-development and encouraged them to make the most of it.He also advised members of the force to guide these new soldiers in their careers and share relevant skills and knowledge.
The new privates will now be posted in their respective units of choice.
