The Republic of France donates uniforms to the Seychelles Coast Guard.
In a small ceremony at the Seychelles Coast Guard base, the commander of “Forces Armées de la Zone Sud de l’Océan Indien” (FAZSOI), General Laurent Cluzel officially handed over a consignment of uniforms to the SDF Chief of Defence Forces, Brigadier Michael Rosette. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mrs. Olivia Berkeley-Christmann, the Ambassador of France, Defense Force Council members, French Defence Attaches and Advisors, and Seychelles Coast Guard officers.
The uniforms donated comprises of polo shirts, pants, shorts and boat shoes. They are the same type of uniforms currently in use by the French Navy, making them perfectly suited for use at sea.
In his address CDF expressed appreciation to the Republic of France for the lovely act of solidarity and generosity on behalf of the Commander in Chief and the Seychelles Defence Forces, saying that this move demonstrates the level of collaboration between Seychelles and France.
