28 NEW RECRUITS JOIN SDF

28 new recruits graduate and join the SDF

The new recruits have joined the Seychelles Defence Forces after completing their 10 weeks basic training at the Military Training Support Centre in Barbarons.

The ceremony was held  this afternoon at the Military Training Support CentreAuditorium- Ile Perseverance, in the presence of  Chairman of the Defence Comitee Honorable Clifford Andre,Chief of Defence Forces Brigadier Michael Rosette, senior SDF officers, and family members and friends of the new recruits.

Among the 28 recruits Private Marcus Ciseau who also gave the vote of thanks on behalf of all the recruits clinched the award for Best Overall Performance , while Best Academic performer went to Private Dean Moise and Best Practical  performer went to Private Leroy Estico.

The new privates were urged by the CDF to uphold the greatest standards of discipline and commitment in carrying out their assigned duties in their designated unit of choice. Additionally, he counselled the force’s staff to mentor the incoming soldiers and impart pertinent knowledge and abilities that will improve their performance at work.
