The Kenya Navy Ships (KNS) Jasiri and Shujaa have spent the last three days in Port Victoria after a training trip for its aspiring military commanders. KNS Jasiri has returned to Port Victoria for a second time since their state visit in July 2022.

Brigadier General Michael Rosette, who serves as the Chief of Defence Forces, had the privilege of boarding the vessel last evening with Colonel Samuel Muia, the Kenyan Defense Attaché to the Seychelles, Mr. Sam Gonthier, the Director of the Regional Coordination of Operations Center, and other invited guests for a gathering before KNS Jasiri departed the port for Zanzibar.
Major Abel Murimi, who is in command of the ship, gave the distinguished guests an explanation of the duty and purpose of his crew during their three days of training in the Seychelles.
In his succinct remarks, Brigadier Rosette emphasized the crucial importance of the alliance between Kenya and the Seychelles given their shared understanding of marine security and safety as well as their shared agreement on the Military Corporation.
